Maruti suzuki S-cross facelift features and review

New Maruti Suzuki S-cross facelift features and review

The Maruti suzuki is introducing the new facelift of S-cross that not only comes with an upgraded face but also better features, quality and comfortable driving experience. As we all know that the previous S-cross was not able to share a platform which the other Suzuki cars had in the market as the sales were not much if we talk about the old S-cross. Now the Maruti wants the change their car with the new S-cross Facelift .

New S-cross facelift
The exterior of the car is totally changed as the previous model comprises of low front bumper that does not give a attractive look but the facelift version is improved with a straight and aggressive bumper that gives a major change to the car in terms of exterior styling. The front grill is laced with chrome as an outline to the face of the car and ten rod shaped grills that highlights the logo of Maruti Suzuki, the projector headlamps with the signature day time running lamps that gives a sharp look the car which you would not find in the previous model. The bonnet is raised and now more muscular with deep creases running all around the body of S-cross facelift. The front is also embed with the cladding that give a premium look to the face of the car. The side profile is same as that of the previous model but the minor changes include the side cladding and the new diamond cut alloy wheels, the Rear profile is also not changed much except the taillights and the hybrid batch.

SHVS hybrid system
The SHVS hybrid system which is installed in the Maruti suzuki cars. The name stands for Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki which clearly explains the aim of the company. SHVS is the mild hybrid system that helps in increasing the fuel efficiency of the cars, according to the company it gives 7% improvement in the fuel economy. The Maruti suzuki Ciaz was the first to be installed with this system and now the new S-cross facelift will also comes with the same technology.

The Interior of S-cross Facelift

The cabin inside the car is not changed much and you will only find the changes in the plastic quality and the few minor changes. The dashboard plastic is improved in terms of quality as the previous one was very hard and now it comes with the soft touch plastic material on the dashboard.
The buttons that are placed on the different positions of the car has got very poor quality as the same buttons are placed in the cheaper Maruti cars. The other changes includes-
The cabin

Touch screen infotainment system
Apple car play and android connectivity
Storage consoles
Steer mounted controls
Start/Stop button
Power sockets
Satellite navigation
Automatic climate control

The Maruti suzuki S-cross facelift is very practical in terms of sitting capacity as it is providing sufficient space to the front and the rear passengers with ample of legroom and knee support.
The boot is very good and we can even increase the space by folding the rear seats down which is a clever option in this car that would be helpful for the long journeys and trips with the great driving experience.

Performance of S-cross Facelift

The new S-cross facelift comes with the only one engine option which is the diesel variant and the SHVS hybrid system is only offered with the diesel variants. With this the Maruti Suzuki has dropped the option of 1.6 L engine that was their in the previous model. The performance of the car in terms of numbers-

Engine                          1248cc engine diesel turbo

Cylinders                         4
The transmission is also one of the weak point of the car as it offers the 5 speed transmission which is very basic in the normal vehicles and also the point in which it lacks include the manual gear system as the company should offer the automatic variant to the customers, even the cheap Maruti cars including the Celerio comes with the automatic transmission.
